Light-VanAusdall was founded by its current president, D. Wayne Light, in Richmond, Virginia, in 1966.

Light-VanAusdall specializes in mergers and acquisitions (M&A), divestitures and valuations of closely-held private corporations. Over the past decade, the firm has assisted several hundred clients from over 600 firms with M&A activities.

Light-VanAusdall is also involved in traditional management marketing consulting designed to assist sellers in the sale of their businesses.

D. Wayne Light, President

Wayne is the founder of Light-VanAusdall, Inc. and has directed the firm since its inception. Wayne has a B.S. in General Business Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University. He is a licensed real estate broker in the Commonwealth of Virginia and North Carolina.

Over the past 30 years, Wayne has served as a board member of over 20 privately-held corporations. He is a member of Seventh Street Christian Church and serves as President of its multimillion-dollar church foundation.

James B. Munsey, Vice President

James has a strong entrepreneurial background and experience in creative marketing and business growth strategies. He has a B.S. in Political Science and Business Administration from the University of South Carolina. Over his career, James has owned and invested in several businesses and has been active in real estate investing and development.

He serves on the Board of Directors and as Treasurer for the Carolinas-Virginia Business Brokers Association and is a member of the Innsbrook Rotary Club. A father and avid pilot, James spends his spare time with his family and flying small planes.
